Testimonials
“Miriam has been an essential thought-partner ever since she joined the project. Her depth of knowledge, strategic insights, and gift for distilling key issues have helped keep us on course and, when needed, adjust that course in a better direction.”
Ben Zaitchik, Principal Investigator, Baltimore Social Environmental Collaborative
Working with Miriam was like having the sun burn off the fog. She helped me see more clearly, plan more strategically, focus on the essentials and put aside the peripherals. All in a supportive, you-can-do-it way. Miriam was invaluable to our work.

Miriam made order out of chaos and gave us a frame that is integral in how we move as a company. Her secret weapon is clarity.
Alfie Brown & Terris King III, Temple X Schools
Miriam provided the framework and support our organization needed. Before we brought her on, the next steps were overwhelming and our efforts lacked energy. Afterwards, folks were excited to take on the clear path we had worked to create together.
Forest Fleischer, Co-president, Baltimore Orchard Project
Miriam brings a rare combination of knowledge, wisdom, grit, and good humor. She excels at listening, collaborating, synthesizing, and strategizing. And her extensive network of contacts contributes to inclusive and effective solutions.
Morgan Grove, USDA Forest Service
Miriam organized a staff retreat for the Baltimore Tree Trust that helped us realign with our mission. Everyone's energy was changed; they're in a different and better place.
Bryant “Spoon” Smith, Executive Director, Baltimore Tree Trust
I worked with Miriam on a program design and sponsorship document. She gave confidence and clarity to my intuition. In addition to her writing and her feedback, she set the tone by asking me the simple question of WHY the work is important; this put the focus on sharing the joy of ecology, allowing an authentic voice and program to evolve with equity and access at its core – and also in a way that explains to a funder why it's good business.
Leanna Wetmore, Director of Events and Programs, Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore
Miriam brings years of knowledge and wisdom to the table. With her help, we were able to go above and beyond our goals.
Sharon Neeley, Better Waverly activist
As a volunteer teacher with The Community School, I joined with Principal Tom Culotta in developing a “Climate Change: Baltimore” seminar extending through the entire 2021-22 school year. It is only through Miriam’s experience, knowledge, diligence and calming influence that we were able to develop an overall approach to the seminar’s weekly themes and to attract appropriate guest speakers, many of them young experts in the science and activism of global warming. Miriam made it happen and did so in a seamless series of communications, including “unflappable fixes” along the way.
